Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.

John Lennon

I bet as you are reading this you are waiting for something. You’re waiting to get home from work, you’re waiting to go to bed, you’re waiting for the weekend. You are waiting for the someday when the pieces will click into place and you will be successful, and you will have the time and money to live your life.

But you shouldn’t be waiting to live your best life. No matter where you’re at, you can start living a better, happier life right now.

I bet this would be easier to believe if you weren’t sitting dead center in this mess after staying an hour late because that b**** in the cubicle over couldn’t get her work done on time. Thanks for nothing Karen.

Why can’t I wait? This moment sucks.

Because as we get older, time starts slipping away from us. Days and weeks run together, and this someday is still something we are waiting for as time becomes increasingly valuable. We go through the motions waiting, without ever living our lives. And knock on wood that something doesn’t happen to you before then.

Why do we put off living when we know that we can easily run out of time? Are we procrastinating? Are we afraid of failure? Are we too comfortable to try something new and scary? Unfortunately, while you are wondering why, time is slipping by.

Did that trigger a nice existential dread for you? Hang in there pal, we’ve been there too.

Most people are waiting for the perfect moment to live, and they don’t know that the perfect moment doesn’t even exist.

There is no perfect time to live your life, to try new things, to get out of your comfort zone. Right now is the best chance that you will ever have. There is no guarantee that you will even have another chance in the future, especially not a perfect one.

But by starting now, you can create better opportunities in the future. You can get closer to a perfect moment for things to happen in the future by taking advantage of every moment now.

You will never feel prepared enough, or ready to make a big change or to try something new, so if you want or need to do it, then this moment is as good a time as any. If you’re afraid, why wait and worry about it? The sooner you are done with it the sooner you will feel better that you’re past it.

There is no downside to seizing this moment and making something happen. Don’t know where to start? We’ve got you.

The perfect moment will never come, and right now is the closest you will ever have to the best time to do something. What are you waiting for?
